Energy Floors
The environmentally sustainable ski resorts Arosa and Carezza undertook a number of pilot projects concerning energy, sustainability and climate.
Introduction
One of those pilot projects involved an Energy Floor: both ski-regions came up with the idea to use skiers’ footsteps to generate power on their way to the skilift. Arosa Tourism (Switzerland), as well as Carezza Tourism (Italy) decided the primary objective of the projects was to raise awareness among the guests, as well as enabling responsible travelling and natureconserving tourism.
Project Description
Both ski resorts installed Energy Floors, to get visitors involved with the topic of treating natural resources consciously.
