A first at De Kuip soccer stadium in Rotterdam, the Netherlands:
soccer fans generated power with their own feet while cheering on their team.
Introduction
We cooperated with Rotterdam Stadium De Kuip to install a Sustainable Energy Floor at the stand and entrance of the stadium during a Feyenoord soccer match.
Project Description
A Sustainable Energy Floor was installed at the main entrance of De Kuip stadium. Ten-thousands of fans who entered De Kuip through this entrance experienced for themselves what it’s like to generate energy with their own footsteps. A floor was also installed in front of W stand on the Maastribune.
