Exploring Energy through Play: Science Centers That Spark Imagination

09 Oct, 2023

Whether itโ€™s the school holidays, a school trip, or even just a day out on the weekend, museums are always a great option to learn something new and have fun at the same time. But what if your visit could do more than just educate and entertain? What if it could generate energy? That’s precisely what Energy Floors is bringing to the world of science centres and innovation museums.

At Energy Floors, we have a strong and growing portfolio that combines fun, education, and sustainability through our international collaborations with museums and science centres. Our aim is to impart knowledge about the future of energy, emphasizing its renewable and clean aspects. What makes our projects unique is that they harness human power – energy generated by you, children, and adults alike. Below, we showcase some of the incredible museums that have integrated our kinetic energy floors into their exhibits and how they are using them for good, including for a fun selfie!

Embarking on a Global Initiative

From science centers to innovation museums, we’re excited to embark on a global initiative to collaborate with institutions all over the world. At Energy Floors, we believe in the power of innovation and sustainability. Together, we can create interactive and educational experiences that captivate visitors and empower them to explore the world of renewable energy through play. Join us in revolutionizing the way we learn about and interact with energy.

Discover Museums Leading the Way

The central technology, the Kinetic Tile, plays a pivotal role in this journey. It offers diverse experiences, branching into two categories. The first category is “Power Plugins,” showcasing how the kinetic energy powers various outlets and devices. The second is “Feedback Plugins,” which provide engaging experiences akin to LCD displays and branded content at events such as St Patrick’s Dayย gathering, where users aim to produce a specific amount of energy through their dance moves and fill their virtual glasses with beer
